20 SAMs for a project with studio apartments in Brussels.
Commissioned by the well-known real estate developer Urbicoon, we developed 20 SAMs for studio apartments in Brussels. As you can see in the images above and below, each SAM consists of a long wall that houses the heating and ventilation, as well as the bathroom, kitchen, bed and even a TV. Together with Urbicoon, we made a circular statement with this groundbreaking project that we are immensely proud of!
The Great Wall of SAM
The cabinet wall incorporates all the necessary functionalities for a home with all modern comforts. Because the integrated bed unit can be stored, the rest of the room can be used flexibly. So you can make room to receive guests or for your yoga exercises.
Above the TV niche, the ventillo convectors are concealed. They heat the room extremely efficiently. The space that a radiator would normally take up is now saved and added to the usable net living space.
For this project, we developed a new module: the bed unit with folding system. This is now also available in the SAM library for future projects.
