For episode 32 of the Bao Podcast, we've invited a familiar face! Sunita Van Heers returns for a second episode. She is the founder and managing director of SuReal.
SuReal is a consulting firm that supports companies and governments in making buildings, urban projects and their businesses more sustainable. Through a multitude of services such as studies, certification and project guidance in multiple areas such as ESG, water, energy, waste, ecology, legislation et cetera, they guarantee an integral and sustainable result. All with one goal: to have an impact on society.
One of our goals is to change the value chain in the real estate sector. For example, currently we have a renovation project of more than 40,000m2 and we were able to convince the developers here not to demolish this old building, despite the fact that there will be 7 floors on top. Thanks to some analyses, we were able to convince them to keep the building and build on top of it by reinforcing some parts of the building.
