ION Residential Platform and Bao join hands for renovation of 36 apartments
This project involves the renovation of a residential building in the center of Brussels, creating 36 new, modern homes. The apartments vary in type, including 32 studios and 4 duplexes. Despite the complexity of the many different housing types and renovation challenges such as sloping and uneven dimensions, we managed to work out a perfectly fitting solution for each apartment with SAM.
Challenges
Very tight schedule: started installation mid-April 2024 and delivered in September 2024. This for a total renovation of 36 homes with 6 different layouts.
An average area of 38 square meters that had to incorporate both a full kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining area and system-D ventilation.
Demand for central digital control for lighting and techniques.
Solutions
The total renovation was completed within 75 working days thanks to SAM's unique prefabrication method.
The system-D ventilation was concealed in a cabinet, with ducting through a bench module to the outside, making the best use of available space.
The client received fully integrated centralized control and energy monitoring on SAM.
